Dear all, I am trying to understand and implement the full parallel multipass rendering as it is performed by ParaView. The solution could work with or without IceT, as long as translucent geometry and volume rendering is supported.
Two of the examples I am aware of are http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK/MultiPass_Rendering_With_IceT, which is quite well documentet, but doesn't work for translucent geometry, and http://www.vtk.org/gitweb?p=VTK.git;a=blob;f=Filters/Parallel/Testing/Cxx/DistributedDataRenderPass.cxx, which is just the code without documentation but supports transparency to some degree. Is the second example sufficiently complete to render all cases correctly that are dealt with in ParaView? Or what are the limitations of this example? Thank you so much, Mark <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virenfrei. www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2>
