As of ParaView 5.2, you can use the Force Time filter to move a data source
to a specified time. You should no longer need to use a programmable
filter. Simply apply a Force Time filter to your data source for all the
time steps you want to plot, then apply a Plot Over Line filter to each one.

By the way, we are now using discourse.paraview.org for community support
of ParaView, so you can post future questions there.
