Yep! Jonathan Leto is the Google Summer of Code admin for TPF.

AFAIK, you can sign up for Parrot-related projects through TPF. They're still looking for pilots and copilots for Parrot (and Perl 6) at http://www.perlfoundation.org/perl5/index.cgi?gsoc.

If so, do we have any ideas for projects that students can
participate in?
The current list of project ideas (which includes a few Parrot ideas) is at http://www.perlfoundation.org/perl5/index.cgi? gsoc_2009_projects. I think the plan is to get the pilot/copilot/ mentors to expand the best ideas into proper project descriptions.
