same problem with:
m/h/i ~= "Hello"
m/h/i =~ "blub"
so it doesn't matter if the regex would match or not.
without /i it works (as expected?):
> say m/h/ =~ "Hello"
Hello
> say m/h/ =~ "hello"
hello
