I am also still seeing the signal 10 error on darwin, for example:

I am inclined to believe that this is a GC bug that is perhaps only
being triggered on darwin, perhaps due to differences with Apple's
gcc. This is purely speculation at this point.

Would giving the output of some kind of valgrind run of that test be
helpful for people with GC tuits?
