The 2.6 release is due on July 20, in less than 2 weeks. Please refrain from any large changes in trunk before the release (at least without discussion on list). Anything big or risky can go in a branch or a patch for now.
Reminder, as usual, Rakudo's compiler release will occur a few days after our release, but this month, Rakudo * will be released as well. Over the next few days, I'll solicit feedback on the various experimental features parrot has, with an eye towards deciding whether or not they should be considered supported. I'm going to be working on cleaning up the outstanding 'make html' related tickets. Now is a great time to setup a smolder or taptinder client if you haven't already. I would love to see the constantly failing tests for AIX and win32 on smolder TODOd for their respective platforms so we can rely on a clean smoke to let us know when new problems crop up. Fixing user-facing documentation would also be a great task in the next two weeks. If anyone has any open tickets (with patches FTW) that they really want fixed (applied!) for 2.6, now is a good time to stump for them.
