The best time to hold a Summit is near the time of a supported
release, so we have plenty of time to plan for and implement changes
for the subsequent supported release. If we have a good rule of thumb
for this, scheduling may become more regular and require less effort
to prepare. For instance, the second sunday after a supported release
gives us this schedule for 2011:

Sunday, January 30, 2011
Sunday, May 1, 2011
Sunday, July 31, 2011
Sunday, October 30, 3011

Please come prepared to discuss these dates at the December 5 meeting,
as setting dates for our PDSes in 2011 will be the first item on the
agenda.

I strongly endorse the idea of quarterly Parrot Developer Summits to be held on the second weekend after each quarterly release.

I recognize, however, that with our developers strewn around the world like pearls on a very long necklace, picking a time of day that works for everyone is impossible. To ease the burden on our developers I propose that we try to vary the start time of the quarterly Summit over the course of the year so that no one is inconvenience every time. That could mean, for example, that some Summits may meet on the Saturday of that weekend rather than the Sunday. We should decide on exact date and time 4 weekends before the summit.

That would make the quarterly schedule sometime within each of the following weekends in 2011:

Sat-Sun, January 29-30, 2011
Sat-Sun, April 30-May 1, 2011
Sat-Sun, July 30-31, 2011
Sat-Sun, October 29-30, 2011

This should be considered as an amendment to Andrew's proposal.

Thank you very much.
