It's that time of the year again. I've just submitted an application
for Parrot to participate in the Google Summer of Code program for the
summer of 2012. As part of a successful application, we're expected to
maintain a page of project ideas for prospective students. Some
students will bring their own ideas, but we're still expected to list
some ideas of our own. It shows that we have well-defined bits of work
that we know needs to be done.

I've created a page on the github wiki to hold project ideas:

https://github.com/parrot/parrot/wiki/Summer-of-Code-Task-Ideas

The page is currently empty. I have about half a dozen ideas of my own
to put on the page. Other people should definitely contribute as well.
Please add ideas even if you do not intend to volunteer to be a mentor
yourself.

If you are a prospective student and have some ideas of your own,
please please please add them to the page too.

I don't have a template for things here, so just put down a title, a
link to a description or ticket, and as much info as you can. We can
fill out the rest and add formatting once we figure out a good way to
present these things. The application deadline is on Friday, so I
would like to have as many ideas on this page as possible before that.
