I reported a number of failures with this branch back in late April, along
with requests to document what the examples were actually supposed to do.
After a few failed attempts back and forth, I never heard anything
further, so I haven't tested it since then. If anything has changed, I
could probably fire off some quick tests later this week, but won't have
time for serious debugging.
