Howdy, Mea culpa for the release not quite happening on time. I actually *did* release tarballs:
http://ftp.parrot.org/releases/supported/4.9.0/ and tag the release on Github: https://github.com/parrot/parrot/tarball/RELEASE_4_9_0 on time, but I am currently blocked on *announcing* the release because I can't create a new post on parrot.org. I just sent an email to OSUOSL. If anybody can help debug this process, by answering questions for OSUOSL folks if they drop in #parrot or whatever else, that would be awesome. My time for Parrot hacking will be limited in the next few days but I will do my best to get a release announced soon.
