+1 I'm not currently a git user, but I've heard some good things about the
software and am always willing to learn a new tool. Any software that is
going to do more to help us and less to hurt us, even if it includes a
reasonable learning curve, should be preferred. SVN is a nice tool, and if
we do switch to GIT I definitely agree that there should still be an
ability to use SVN if people prefer.
