The original issue has been resolved. Closing ticket.
To briefly address the ignore status : many languages are ignored; I think
fperrad was doing this as the languages were removed; .DS_Store files mean
you opened that directory in Finder on OS X. installable_parrot_config is
a generated file, as is src/asmfun.s
