Ref and SharedRef are removed in r38030. I assumed that SharedRef was
implicitly covered by Ref's deprecation notice, since the one extends the
other.
I made a best effort at updating the code in undef and scalar that used
Ref in r38029. Unfortunately the code changed by that revision doesn't
have any test coverage, so I'm not sure if it was the right approach.
