Extensive work on the JIT is planned for the 2.6 release. Refactor the JIT
subsystem to be cleaner/more maintainable. Make it easier to add JIT
support for new platforms. Make it easier to extend JIT support for
existing platforms.
Optional but nice: make it possible to JIT segments of code larger than a
single opcode.
