This, unfortunately, is a problem of long-standing; cf.
[http://rt.perl.org/rt3/Ticket/Display.html?id=52212 RT #52212]. Could
you see if this [http://rt.perl.org/rt3/Ticket/Attachment/389086/176448
/darwin-editline-failer.txt patch] attached to that ticket helps?
I don't, however, believe that the problem above explains your build
problem in and of itself.
