Runtime before patch (tests written in perl):
Files=1, Tests=6, 3 wallclock secs ( 2.91 cusr + 0.11 csys = 3.02 CPU)
Runtime after patch (test written in PIR):
Files=1, Tests=517, 2 wallclock secs ( 1.46 cusr + 0.04 csys = 1.50
CPU)
