If I compile a recent Rakudo with this patch,

it segfaults when I do this:

I'm submitting it as a Parrot ticket, because segfaults usually are memory
allocation errors on the Parrot level.
Since I'm stumped as to how to proceed with this patch (which otherwise
passes spectests and the like just fine), I'd be happy for any clues.
