Finished working up a tentative fix that lives in
[https://github.com/nol888/parrot/commit/ce7bd213b9cf8b182b6f5ade06b4f3c8372662a5
a branch] on my github.
This is subject to comments from others as well as test results as Matt
develops more tests.
