Rectify segmentation fault caused by
27b6fecf9b471659e3b8fd3029ab06db3ab5b24c
I am not sure if this patch was committed properly or not. I am sure
about the 'master' branch, but since I could not cherrypick the patch
to 'stable-1.8.x', because of a conflict in parted/parted.c I am
worried that something might have gone wrong.
Git experts are requested to please have a look.
I think I will in future restrict myself to committing in 'master'
only. If required someone can cherry-pick them to 'stable-1.8.x' as
needed.
