I personally agree with you. I would like to get a review from David
on the patches I proposed to pushing and IMHO it would be ready.
We also need to review if there's any ABI change on this release and
change the configure.ac according.
I'm going through the patches Otavio proposed as well as some things I
have here (which are dupes of a lot of things). 1.8.2 soon.
