About GParted : Can be compiled against parted-1.8.4 without any patch (for parted i mean) ! Nice ! I can't find any gparted crashes like it did with parted-1.8.2. Neither with parted-1.8.3 : no crashes. Very nice !

Still have the problem with linux-swap : "Unable to read the contain of the fs".
But I know this is a gparted issue.

thx a bunch !

Quick followup to our recent version 1.8.3 release, here is GNU parted
1.8.4.

This is a minor bug fix release to address build issues on a number of
platforms. Fixes include:

* Use 'uname -m' to determine if we build on System Z or not.
* Include <parted/vtoc.h> in <parted/fdasd.h> for format1_label_t definition.
* Remove unused variables in libparted/arch/linux.c (-Werror).
* Check return values on fgets() and asprint() in libparted/arch/linux.c
  (-Werror).
* Check for tgetent() in libtinfo in the configure script.
* Move some macro definitions in <parted/disk.h> to fix a compile problem with gcc-4.1.2 as indicated here:

You can download GNU parted 1.8.4 from ftp.gnu.org in the /gnu/parted
directory. Archives are available as tar+gzip or tar+bz2 files.

   ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/parted-1.8.4.tar.gz
   ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/parted-1.8.4.tar.bz2

The SHA-1 digest of the archives are available in <filename>.sha1 files
in the same directory.

Please see the parted web site at http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/
for the latest new, mailing list instructions, and bug reporting
information.

Thanks,
