This project looked very interesting, so I installed parti-all-0.0.6
on Madriva 2009.0.

Based on the the Fedora dependencies mentioned in README.xpra, I
installed dependencies for Mandriva with:

# urpmi xorg-x11-Xvfb python-pyrex libx11_6-devel libxtst6-devel
libXcomposite1-devel libXdamage-devel pygtk2.0-devel gtk2-devel

I was asked to select an appropriate version of aspell and choose
either ctags or emacs-extras (pygobject2 is included in pygtk2.0 for
Mandriva).

This installed 115 packages, about 130+ MB of stuff.

Question 1.

When testing on my local machine I get fatal errors when running
./run-tests and when attempting to run an X client (the server startup
was free of errors), all errors being "Xlib: extension "RANDR"
missing on display".

I do have libxrandr2-devel installed. I'm using the nvidia proprietary
driver with Twinview enabled (2560x1024 screen size).

What to do?

Question 2.

Rather than install all these *-devel deps on each machine and go
through the whole build process, can't I tar /install and scp it to
the remote machine, installing it in ~? If so, then what deps will
_that_ have? Just xorg-x11-Xvfb, python-pyrex, GTK2 and pygtk2.0?
