Hi Hellmut,

Note that in Linux, there are _two_ different clipboards. The first is the X 
primary clipboard (the one selected when you middle-click). The second is the 
one that is maintained by Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v.

pass by default will use the Ctrl-c,Ctrl-v clipboard (referred to by xclip as 
XA_CLIPBOARD). If you want it to use the primary clipboard, set the environment 
variable PASSWORD_STORE_X_SELECTION to primary and you should have the desired 
effect.
