These two sentences kind of summarize it. `ydotool` might work with some hacks but I personally wouldn't suggest nor endorse it for the moment (I'm not trying to belittle ydotools' developer efforts). Unless these linux distributions provide a smooth installation and configuration (which I can't comment on because I don't know). Just my opinion, of course. Regards,
