Hi Brian, I had a similar issue with pass not autocompleting, although my problem was with ZSH and not Bash. I think the problem started after upgrading MacOS from Big Sur to Monterey.
Unfortunately, the only solution that worked was to completely reinstall macOS (Monterey). Once I had a fresh operating system, installing pass through Homebrew worked fine and I was able to use autocomplete as normal. I'll admit it's not the most elegant solution, but it's what worked for me. Good luck!
