Hello,
the book currently includes xfce-4.2.2 and pango-1.10.1. This
combination has a visible bug: text leaks outside taskbar buttons. See
http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1099 and its duplicates.
The LFS-style patch (imported from that bugzilla) is at:
