Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Windows Group: Python 2.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Lars L (larslj) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: ConnectRegistry blocks all threads Initial Comment: ConnectRegistry might take quite some time when connecting to a remote machine (especially if it's not responding). It should be possible to run other threads while waiting for this call to return. I notice that some registry calls are enclosed by Py_*_ALLOW_THREADS pairs while some aren't, is there any reason for this? The patch adds Py_*_ALLOW_THREADS around the call to RegConnectRegistry in PC/_winreg.c ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=305470&aid=1448199&group_id=5470 _______________________________________________ Patches mailing list [email protected] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/patches
