Löwis (loewis) Summary: ctypes and Win64 Initial Comment: The _ctypes extension is not built on Win64, because it is not yet ported to the AMD64 architecture. Since I'm working on win64 support in the ctypes SVN repo, chances are that this can be distributed and installed as standalone package for Python 2.5. To avoid problems with the installation, I recommend that the ctypes package in Lib/ctypes should *NOT* be included in the Python 2.5 AMD64 msi installer. The attached patch for Tools/msi/msi.py should implement this, although I cannot completely test it (I have not built the AMD64 version of sqlite3, no CHM file, and so on).
