Category: Documentation Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Kevin Walzer (wordtech) >Assigned to: Ronald Oussoren (ronaldoussoren) Summary: Update to Macintosh library documentation Initial Comment: The attached file updates section 1 of the Macintosh library documentation, which covers getting started--installing, configuring, and learning Python on the Mac. The file updates the section to reflect changes in the Mac version of Python since 2.4 (switching to IDLE as the standard IDE, supporting universal binaries, etc.) and adds sections on application deployment with py2app, GUI toolkits, application scripting, and more. Much of the current documentation in this section is obsolete and therefore inaccurate. The updated documentation is a simple text file: I am not an expert with LaTeX. I understand the Python documentation team can handle the LaTeX formatting. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Brett Cannon (bcannon) Date: 2007-04-11 16:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=357491 Originator: NO Thanks for the work, Kevin! Ronald, can you have a look at this and approve or reject? Once that is done we can work on converting it to LaTeX. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=305470&aid=1698768&group_id=5470 _______________________________________________ Patches mailing list [email protected] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/patches
