I wouldn't even mind if the filter settings, wherever there are ones, such as in the project patch list or TODO list, were made fully configurable and kept in e.g. cookies or account preferences so that they keep applying across visits/sessions. :)
Note: the TODO list is just one of these settings based on the assignee and patch state; it could actually be implemented as one predefined main list filter setting.
