Hi all,
Almost since I installed patchwork on linux-mips.org I'm observing the
creation of accounts probbly by bot networks at an ever increasing
rate. This has inflated the SQL tables hugely and is is pain if once
in a blue moon have to use django's web admin stuff to sift through
accounts.
So I'm wondering before I'm writing something myself, has anybody written
a script to cleanup such obviously junk accounts?
This gave me enough motivation to implement autoexpiry:
http://git.ozlabs.org/?p=patchwork;a=commitdiff;h=011ee687
We're seeing a lot of bogus registrations too; the first autoexpiry
iteration on patchwork.ozlabs.org has reduced the user count from 51390
to 1171.
As long as you have the patchwork-cron script set up properly, this
change should be fairly transparent.
Cheers,
Jeremy
