Whoops. Forgot to update the thread with those other lists! (Sorry, other lists!) Forward far and wide as you see fit.

I'm adding all the other UX lists I forgot to include in my first email in case there are some willing bodies in there, too. :) First step - let me see if I can make you the mailing list administrator. Next steps: Here are the people I've spoken to about presenting, their topics, and UX area(s) it speaks to. For the folks who don't have UX in their titles, they may want to collaborate on picking out and translating the UX goodies they didn't know were there. *Kenneth Langdon*, mojo - UX area: site search (and everything that experience includes) He's the owner of a new initiative to improve mojo search quality. They've already started with content cleanup, metrics-driven and a phased approach for involving content and group owners. He's really excited to promote this. I forgot to ask him about this, but since mojo doesn't have a content strategist or other significant UX resources, maybe he'd like to connect with folks in the group for best practices, etc.? Would be great to get participation from the other regions. *Meg Koutlas*, Audience Insights - UX area: highlights of methodology and findings of a semi-informal research effort they did looking at developers vs architects. They used an external vendor, but the approach (digital journaling) was innovative and the personal characteristics of each role were really interesting. From a UX perspective, it spoke to mental models, language and elements that could inform approaches, content, and tools for each. You can check it out on their mojo page. The lightning talk they gave at InsightsFest is there too. I spoke with them about a slightly extended version of that presentation. Side note: Meg knows about all kinds of data sources available to anyone in RH. Some great stuff there, and also good user (customer) research method examples. *Philip Meilleur*, search engine and analytics manager for Rover -- UX area: measuring and acting on user behavior analytics - Philip's the guy who manages the tracking, analyzing, adjusting, and acting on the Rover People Search analytics. He could also speak to planning for and evolving KPIs. I also threatened, I mean talked with *Vince Conzola*, UXD about presenting. His team used a table at Summit to do some gorilla UAT. They put out a bunch of protoypes for different things and pulled in anyone who came by. Isn't that cool? Cheap, fast, and a big crowd. (Like shootin' fish in a barrel.) We didn't get into how or what data they captured, so that might be a good area to explore. Another possibility: I had a great meeting with the translator team (thanks to Leigh's help) last week to get their insights into cultural differences in communication and interaction styles. This email's getting long so I'll restrain myself on expounding and point you to the *Kathryn Fish* and her Readiness team here in GSP. They can share why/how they're trying to connect and engage with the regions in a new way, to inform their change management efforts for CPQ/CLM. Go forth and spread the gospel of all things UX! ~ Claire UX & Usability Analyst Global Sales Productivity Red Hat, Inc. 100 E.
