This position also supports and sustains existing software products for growth and development of Decision Support Services. *Position Objectives: * • Design new software products in support of Decision Support business demands. • Identify process improvement opportunities of current Software programs to optimize operational performance and efficiency for internal and external customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Acts as a resource for team members in translating business needs into technical designs. 2. Develops and documents technical designs: 3. Develops and/or enhances database objects, including queries, procedures, views, triggers 4. Produces logical/physical data models, including Entity-Relationship Diagrams 5. Develops and/or enhances existing data transformation and loading routines 6. Participates in design/development of business solutions, including Java programming and database engineering 1. Object-oriented design documents 2. Create UML diagrams 3. Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) 4. UI design prototypes 7. Plans and estimates project scopes 8. Implements technical design (e.g. writing code, changing databases): 1. Prototyping 2. Modeling data 3. Object-oriented design 4. Debugging code 5. Documenting code 6. Profiling 9. Ensure design quality by creating, conducting, and documenting unit testing 10. Provides application support: 11. Interfaces with Release Management to ensure trouble-free internal and external production deployments 12. Develops Unix shell scripts as needed 1. Analyzes reported defects 2. Replicates/fixes the defects 3. Conducts regression tests 13. Creates test data for QA and Development 14. Collaborates and transfers knowledge with stakeholders (QA, Planning, Service, Sales) 15. Works closely with QA team during the testing and defect management phase 16. Keeps up-to-date on industry trends, tools/technologies 17. Troubleshoots and resolves functional and performance related issues 18. Responsible for various data-centric initiatives including reporting, extract and load programs, business intelligence applications, and ETL programs. * Internal Responsibilities: * • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program. • Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts. • Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process. • Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management. Minimum Qualifications & Competencies: • BA/BS in Computer Science or related concentration • Minimum 3+ years experience in Software Development • Proven experience developing rich UI solutions using JQuery, CSS3, REST Full Web Services, and JSON • Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications to enhance the performance and reliability of our current applications, as well as participate in the development of new industry-leading products, with proven advanced technologies o Programming: Java 6, JQuery, ExtJS, Web Services frameworks (Apache CXF) o Web: HTTP, HTML5, XHML, CSS3, o Frameworks: Spring, Apache CXF, Experience with a MVC framework o Build: Maven 3 o Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output • Collaborate with developer team members on best practices, code reviews, internal tools and process improvements. • Self-directed and capable of working in a fast paced environment • Good communication skills • Demonstrated proficiency in using: javascript or extjs (extended javascript) preferably version 4 of extjs Senior Software Engineer- Front End Developer *Programming: ExtJS 4.x, Java 6, JQuery, * *Web: HTML5, CSS3 * *Frameworks: Spring, Apache CXF, Web Services frameworks (Apache CXF), Experience with a MVC framework* *Build: Maven 3* *Database: Oracle 11g* *Application Server: JBOSS 6+* *These are the skills we are looking for: * The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years front end development experience, using ExtJS 4.x framework. The candidate must have a strong understanding of Object Oriented programming principles using Java Script and Java SE. The candidate will need to be able to work independently to design, develop, and document common re-usable application components, most of which will be for the user interface. The candidate will initially be the first member of the front end development team, and must be a self-starter with leadership qualities.
