Need a server side architect with wealth management experience (*Wealth
management is a must* )
Server side Java architect - *core investment processing / wealth
management exp is a must - ex., “transaction processing, trade flow,
custody & accounting, cash processing”*
this is a 50% hands on technical and 50% architect role or non technical.
1. Candidate should have minimum 10 years experience in software
development, including at least 8 years experience in Object-Oriented
technologies - implementing Web- based applications.
2. Ability to design technical solutions to solve complex business
problems. Ability to drill deep into subject matter with the expectation to
evolve as subject matter expert on current systems. Performs research and
analysis - recommending solutions and driving decisions. Serves as a "point
person" for specific technical expertise.
a. Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture and how business
architecture and technical architecture work in tandem for successful EA.
b. Thorough understanding of Design Patterns such as MVC, Singleton,
Session Façade etc
c. Ability to understand existing patterns and standards quickly and
ensure that these are being strictly adhered to by the team.
3. Technical skills –
a. Demonstrated expertise in Architecting and Designing highly
complex solutions using Java and Oracle technologies including but not
limited to:
i. Strong java / J2EE skills including core Java, (JSP/Servlet
coding), EJB 3.0,
ii.
Messaging - JMS (strong knowledge of topics and queues), MDB’s ,
Experience with MQ (6.x, 7.x) is a plus,
iii.
Experience with development of WebServices
1. Experience with SOAP
2. Experience with REST / JSON
iv.
Experience with Business Service development with Java
1. EJB’s , Spring POJO’s
2. JPA
v.
Weblogic ( 10.3 / 11g), WebSphere / WebSphere portal server (6.x , 7.x is a
plus)
vi.
Oracle (11g is preferred), PL/SQL coding
vii.
Proven experience in designing and developing complex milestone-based
workflows, both Synchronous and Asynchronous using Java and PL/SQL.
viii.
UI experience
1. JSP / Servlet , Java Script, HTML
2. Experience with MVC pattern implementations such as Struts, Spring
MVC
ix.
Integration with 3rd party components, external service providers
x.
Experience in using development tools such as Eclipse, Ant, SQL Developer,
source code control systems (Star Team is plus), continuous build systems,
ex., Hudson
4. Other - SDLC, leadership, functional background
a. Thorough understanding of both Agile (SCRUM) and Classic
(Waterfall) software development methodologies.
b. Minimum five years of hands-on / direct experience managing
technical teams ranging from 10-15 persons. Demonstrated desire and ability
to lead, mentor and develop more junior resources is required.
c. Ability to provide technical leadership under pressure to ensure
high quality deliverables.
d. Experience with offshore development, delivery and integration is
desired.
e. Position will be responsible for interfacing with central teams for
environments, test data set up, configuration set up, technical runbooks
etc.
f. Must be able to represent the team(s) in cross functional
settings and interface with Business Leads, Product Owners, Enterprise
Architects, External Vendors and other development tracks. Ability to work
comfortably with a wide range of people and skill sets. Excellent
communications skills are a must for this position.
