They will not consider candidates that need to relocate or travel for the interview* *Job Description* · Responsible for physical databases on specific database technologi es; designs and implements back-up, recovery, archiving and conversion strat egies. · Also responsible for the performance, availability, integrity, and disaster recovery of all databases and database systems. *Job Responsibilities* · Maintains data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers. · Manages database distribution, security, and access requirements. Designs and develops logical and physical layers of various databases. · Handles testing, reporting, back-up and restores. · Provides technical assistance and mentoring for staff for developi ng conceptual and logical database design and the physical database. · Utilizes logical model to ensure efficient and reliable database p erformance. · Complies with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the Company. · Establishes and builds strong working relations and partnerships with Business Units and Senior Management. · Enforce IT database standards, guidelines and operational policies and procedures · Perform database software patches and upgrades. · Performs special projects and other duties as may be assigned. *Job Requirement* · 7+ years database administrator experience with MS SQL Server. · Microsoft SQL Server versions 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016 · Some experience with other DBMS systems: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo · Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) preferred. · Bachelor's degree required. *Competencies* · Knowledge of organizational politics and political tactics; abilit y to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision- making channels. · Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts and pro cesses that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the c ompany's business; ability to o apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. · Knowledge of relational DBMS concepts, ETL processing concepts, da tabase security · Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and design · Knowledge of Audit procedures and SOX compliance · Job scheduling concepts *Regards , * *Kailash Negi* *VSG Business Solutions* *221 Cornwell Dr Bear, DE 19701* *Email ID : [email protected] <[email protected]>* *Phone: 302-261-3207 x 102* Due to High volume of calls, I may not be able to answer your call.
