*Sr. VoIP Voice Engineer Job*

Location - Holmdel, NJ or Scottsdale, AZ

Duration - 6 Months CTH

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

§  Advanced knowledge of  VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, SDP and
RTP

§  Expert level SIP - Someone who is able to read and debug raw SIP
messages, can describe in detail the different type of SIP messages and
understands how to manipulate SIP headers when interconnecting with a SIP
device which does not behave as expected. Must understand the actual
protocol messaging.

§  Certifications ACP-N, BCPA, CCVP, CCVP/DP a plus

§  BroadSoft BroadWorks management experience a plus

§  Strong understanding of QOS methodologies

§  5+ years of experience with Oracle and/or sansay SBC platforms.

§  Knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP, RIP, ISIS

§  Experience with Packet capturing and protocol analysis (TCP, UDP, ICMP,
packet dissection, etc)

§  Knowledge of DNS & DHCP protocols

§  Must be an “out of the box” technical thinker and possess the ability to
handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment where
focus shifts on a daily basis.

§  Must possess a strong strategic thinking capacity, effective
communication skills and a to build and maintain effective partnerships
both internally and externally

§  Be able to read and understand RFC’s that deal with the SIP protocol.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•                    Analyze trends to determine performance and recommend
corrective actions

•                    Have the ability to lead maintenance activities and
upgrades of architecture components

•                    Be able to lead projects by creating diagrams,
documenting deployment and test plans

•                    Perform testing of new carrier turn-ups

•                    Perform lab testing for the Vonage Broadsoft platform
to ensure all software level, patches, and applications are fully
functional before implementation into the operational platform.

•                    Plan, design, implement, and support complex
multi-vendor environments

•                    Develop and maintain detailed implementation and
training documentation

•                    Design, deploy, and audit voice security
implementations using industry best practices

•                    Create and maintain detailed deployment documentation

•                    Regular after-hour maintenances and on-call
responsibilities

•                    Background in voice telephony

•                    Carry themselves well with clients

•                    Able to portray knowledge and make presentations to
clients

•                    Experience in higher level application task management

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

•                    Advanced knowledge of  VoIP protocols such as SIP,
H.323, MGCP, SDP and RTP

•                    5+ years of experience on the Oracle Acme SBC platform
and or the Sansay SBC platform.

•                    3  years knowledge of Open SIPs or the ability to
learn it.

•                    Advanced knowledge of network routing protocols such
as BGP, RIP, ISIS

•                    Experience with Packet capturing and protocol analysis
(TCP, UDP, ICMP, packet dissection, etc)

•                    Knowledge of DNS & DHCP protocols (managing large
multi-tiered DNS & DHCP)

•                    Must be an “out of the box” technical thinker and
possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced
environment where focus shifts on a daily basis.

•                    Must possess a strong strategic thinking capacity,
effective communication skills and a to build and maintain effective
partnerships both internally and externally

•                    Be able to read and understand RFC’s that deal with
the SIP protocol.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•                    Manage and close escalations and incidents from NOC
and lead trouble resolution

•                    Provide documentation for the NOC, creating MOPs for
troubleshooting and support

•                    Work with Vendors for Peering and Access

•                    Analyze trends to determine performance and recommend
corrective actions

•                    Have the ability to lead maintenance activities and
upgrades of architecture components

•                    Be able to lead projects by creating diagrams,
documenting deployment and test plans

•                    Perform testing of new carrier turn-ups

•                    Perform lab testing for Core Voice Network Changes
through all of the Vonage product lines
