Position: Hadoop Developer Location: San Jose, CA Duration: Long Term Visa: Open Level: Senior Role: Developer Interviews: Telephonic and/or skype Must be local to CA only. Client is not accepting non-locals. Responsibilities • Responsible for implementation and support of the Hadoop eco system such as SPARK, YARN, MapReduce, HDFS, HBase, Zookeeper, Pig and Hive. • Candidate will be Involved in designing, capacity arrangement, cluster set up, performance fine-tuning, monitoring, structure planning, scaling and administration. • Candidate will automate all repetitive & manual activities. • Candidate has to work closely with infrastructure, network, database, business intelligence and application teams to ensure business applications are highly available and performing within the agreed service levels. • Monitor, manage & analyze Hadoop cluster connectivity, its performance and log files. • Collaboratively work with Agile/Scrum teams to develop and implement designed solutions to fulfill business requirements. • Document techniques/approaches, process flow diagrams and data models as required • Ability to learn existing environment & applications as well as new technology quickly and independently. • Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the cloud data store components. Experience and Qualifications • B. Tech or Equivalent related degree • 5+ years of experience in Hadoop eco system, Elasticsearch, AWS S3. • Experience in working on Cloud Environment and Cloud monitoring tools. • Strong knowledge in NoSQL & Scripting languages e.g. python, Shell scripting, etc • Experience in workflow/schedulers like Oozie • Experience in Cloudera Hadoop Distribution Preferred • Knowledge of ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases.
