Hey Irongeek - They do have 501(c)(3) status, according to Johnny. On the "itemized deduction" form (schedule a) you only need to list the charity name and amount. I believe deductions are retroactive to when the organization *files* for 501(c)(3) status, so I should imagine you would be good for calendar 2009.
