Just to give everyone an update:

At this point I have not found any usable data on the drive. Right now we
are questioning if the drive was even used in way to have a document saved.
Since I forgot to include information about the MFP - it was a Panasonic DP
model. I tried data recovery software and only retrieved junk files. Next,
we slaved the drive and booted to ubuntu. I was able to see folders, but
some were locked. I haven't had time to pursue how to break the lock. I am
told by the copier technician that the drive is "specially" format by
Panasonic with 6 partitions (which I was able to see and sort of access),
and it is a variation of linux.

I have not tried the telnet approach yet. I'm very curious what I'll find
connecting with telnet.

Thanks again!
