Work experience is the new braindump... I like it.
 
Avoid the ISC2 guide, and go with the AIO book.  If anything, buy the ISC2 book 
for the sample questions.  
 
You will find some places that have some sample questions for free or to buy, 
there's also iPhone apps to try/buy but the one I tried wasn't that great... 
and check out cccure.org, but questions will really be your only way to gauge 
your knowledge and prepare after you've studied your brains out.
