All, I'm noticing that the security patching process in place is not only slow but getting worse.
The latest change requests in place to deploy Adobe patches have been in the "system" for 4 months now and we are still waiting for it to come out the other end. The same can be said for Flash player changes and with CVE2011-2110 staring at me I'm thinking there must be something else than can be done rather than just putting this into the "system" like the others and sit back and wait. I'm wondering what the typical turn around times are for other people. I'm wondering if a different process has been put in place for these types of changes and how much time is typically spent at each stage. Grateful for any insight you can share.
