When I was looking into this a while back I found that this was illegal, and as 
such none of the providers offered the ability.  It seems to get stripped out 
by the providers when you hit the PSTN.  Maybe an international provider that 
offers it can be used to spoof UK numbers, but I doubt it.

I take it you're trying to make a call to the PSTN?

I think the laws are more strict in the UK regarding cid spoofing no?
Regardless, I would imagine the process would be the same as I believe the data 
signaling to be similar.
