Excellent question.
On a recent trip to do some security assessment, I thought "how much better
would my travel have been if I could have leveraged a tiny device like the
Raspberry Pi?" So I started thinking about how I would used a R/Pi and my
iPad to do some of the scanning and 'sploiting. Then it occured to me that
if I could build up a small easily deployable VM in advance of a trip, it
would save time *and* give me a little development time ahead of the
release of the Raspberry Pi (any day now!).

so the target platform eventually is the Raspberry Pi - and there are a
couple of flash'able distros on the way for that. In the mean time, I'm
simply looking to build a small VM that I can use like the R/Pi for fun and
(hopefully) profit.
