--Hi Blade
Having given you some historical lectures on the PAC and Marxism I want to
correct the lies in your potato newsletter. I also would point out the
relationship of COSATU and the AALC as well as the relationship of the ANC with
the CIA as a matter of fact and the SACP by extension You write about FOSATU
which you have no historical understanding of and the AALC. You are blatantly
lying to link FOSATU to the ANC or SACP. Perhaps you should go to the archive
of COSATU and NACTU to grasp the history of the current labour movement.
FOSATU was opposed to the ANC and SACP two stage theory of the struggle and was
pitted against the UDF in the Eastern Cape during stayaways. It was an era of
ideological struggle between the workerists and what they viewed as
Nationalists. There were UDF Unions led by Samson Ndou; Amos Masondo, Sydney
Mufumadi, Sisa Njikelana and the late Thozamile Gqwetha. The Unity Talks the
foundered in 1982 were resumed in 1985. I was present. These Unity talks given
the differences between the BCM influences on CUSA led to COSATU. I was part
and parcel of caucus involving Mufumadi; Njikelana, Gqwetha, Ndou and Pandelani
Nefolovhodwe with a fear that a giant Federation may be born that would be
opposed to the National Liberation Movement. The UDF Unionists and the
Africanists had taken a decision to join the new Federation. However, my
imprisonment in July 1985 led to the Africanists not joining the new
Federation. The UDF Unions took a decision to swim against the
current in a meeting held on the 7th of August 1985 in Wilgespruit. They were
joined by NUM from CUSA. You are printing blatant lies because you were not
part of the struggle. I still have Tuffy Adler and Alec Erwin's polemic on the
ANC from FOSATU Education Deparment.
If you go to the archives of SACTU (I do not know if you know the late BB
(Pemba) of SACTU and Mark Shope of the SACP) you will learn more. COSATU only
adopted the Freedom Charter in 1988 the same year Cyril joined the ANC and Alec
Erwin joined the SACP. The ignorance you display in your article is very
shameful as COSATU was pushed by the likes of Sydney Mufamadi, Amos Masondo,
and Enoch Godongwana and others to the current position. Theirs was not an easy
task. Now you write about the CIA and PAC which would be rich if it were the
case let me point out the following facts: COSATU received R2million from the
AALC (now called Solidarity Centre) to support ANC in the election in 1994!
NACTU was denied funding because of my PAC membership. A point Barbara Lomax
made to me. The ANC received more than R5 million rand from the CIA Democracy
Fund for election and the PAC nothing as it was regarded as Communist. Only the
Nigerians gave us funds to fight the
1994 Elections. Not withstanding the relationship during negotiations and the
Rockefeler Foundation!
The Bodyguards of Mandela received training from the CIA on his release. However
to me that does not make him CIA.COSATU Campaign against Mugabe has been funded
by the AALC now Solidarity Centre including the tickets; posters and buses.
This includes the SACP by extension and this continues. The virulent HIV/AIDS
Campaign of the TAC and COSATU has been funded by the AALC (Now Solidarity
Centre)
Blade! Tell no lies and claim no easy victories. It seems the CIA Agent is you
and other anarchists who are destroying the ANC. The PAC is investigating a
letter written to Parliament by the US Ambassador complaining about the former
President on his ant-imperialist position and the link to his removal.
The other matter is the issue of the lucky packet in a black bag that you have
alleged to have received and the BEE in your bonnet. The lies you are spreading
to workers are catching up with you as some of the things you should have known
if you were part of the struggle. The other issue out of respect I wish not to
analyse is the recent trip to the US by the ANC President and the meeting with
Bush and other neocons and his address on the platform of the rightwing Council
on Foreign Relations. If it was a report back on the removal of the
anti-imperialist President I cannot say
The martyrs of African Renaissance will not forgive me if I do not point out to
you that you are nothing but a dubious character and there is nothing communist
in you but quackery. From now on if you continue with your lies I will take you
on publicly.
Kind Regards
Cunningham Ngcukana
