Point of correction***Meant to say the former is bigger than the latter..ie. Pan Africanism is bigger than PAC!
umhlaba >>> "VUYO ASHLEY LEEUW" <[email protected]> 02/11/09 3:15 PM >>> It is rather sad to notice that only a few can actually comprehend that Pan Africanism is not PAC. And that the latter predates and is much bigger than the former. We would be belittling if not trampling upon this noble ideology if we think that it is as a result of the advent of 1958 or that year's preceding events.Anton Muziwakhe Lembede did not live to see the formation of the PAC( formed nine years after his death). But it is safe to claim that he died a renowned Pan Africanist. It is also this ideological deficiency that has led to many down falls of the once beloved PAC. Admittedly, there are no living beings that can live up to the standard as set by Prof and his contemporaries. But that should not excuse the PAC for having derailed and completely lost the plot. Notwithstanding, Im not sure the kind of stunt Mr. Matiwane is trying to pull here. For someone for whom i attest that he has spent better part of his youth within PAC leadership structures, I find it rather disturbing that he pretends as if PAC's woes, which he cites as reasons for his resignation, are a recent phenomena, or put simply, zezayizolo. For that matter, i believe that you joined the party or its structures, already engulfed by these nightmares and stuck in this mud, which by now not even a miracle can exctricate the PAC out of. The unfortunate charecteristics you have correctly listed, some of which are mere variations, azikho ntsha joni, they even predate Makwethu as a matter of fact. So, in a nutshell, you could have easily vanished nto ka Matiwane without the trouble of honouring (with a formal and conventional resignation letter ) the same people you have impliedly attributed PAC's (recent) misfortunes to. Surely you will agree with me when i say that they are not worth the dignity, are they now joni?In the least, your branch could have done it for you!! Umhlaba >>> Azania Matiwane <[email protected]> 02/10/09 2:27 PM >>> Fellow Africanists Please find the attached, it is a sad moment in life to have reached a point of divergence with this movement, which I continue to cherish its founding ideals and principles. However, in each and every revolution, revolutionaries dont outlive their ideals. The founding ideals of the pan africanist moment both in Africa and elsewhere in the world certainly have outlived the PAC of Azania in my view, and in that context, I have based my decision. I dont wish to labour more on rhetoric, my explanations are as indicated on the attached correspondance. I remain A.
