Revolutionary greetings!

I respond to cde Mavela's contribution this morning. I am glad to hear your
exasperation and to know your point of view.Views expressed are acknowledged
and respected. It is in the nature of debate that we may not agree on
issues,hence the response.

Existance to kill PAC: I am ashamed and embarrassed that there are some within
the movement who identify PAYCO,our activies and programmes as directed to kill
PAC. But I am consoled by the fact that we stand for the original ideals of the
PAC and the revolutionary vision of our founding fathers. Allow to allay your
fears cde Mavele that we are not here to kill PAC,we have nothing to gain by
killing PAC. Right now the PAC is as good as dead, whats there to kill. Our task
has always been to revive and rebuild a strong monolethic PAC. Killing the
PAC,Mphahlele and his verandar boys have done the job already.

We have always participated in efforts to build the PAC,we were part of the
following processess and many not mentioned aimed at building:
  a.. 1996 PAC National Convention
  b.. Thohoyandou Congress
  c.. Marble Hall Congress
  d.. Mthatha Congress
  e.. Vista Congress
  f.. Africanist Imbizo,Peninsula,Cape Town
  g.. Qwa-Qwa Congress
h.. Fort Hare Congress(where we were denied entry and harrassed by Mhahlele's
veranda boys and the rented mob)
i.. Botshapelo Conference,(organised by comrade Thami Ka-Plaajie){we walked
out when they decided to elect a new leadership}
We participated in all these processess with the aim to build PAC not to kill
it. We have always distanced ourselves with people who want to serve their
narrow personal interests within the party. we rejected Godi when he called for
cooperation with ANC. We rejected Mphahlele(our man) when he deviated from PAC
norms and traditions. We rejected Cde Thami ka Plaajie when he decided to form
a new structure. We have rejected efforts by some within PASMA to turn PASMA an
apolitical independent student movement. On all our efforts we have remained
PRO-PAC against all odds.

Discourage youth to boycott elections: We are guilty as charged in this regard.
We believe our decision not to GO for elections was the most progressive step
we have taken over the years. Given the same circumstances in future we would
not hesitate to take a similar action. To some of us is not a fashion or status
to be PAC members. PAC belongs to the masses of our people, therefore it must be
seen at all times working and associating with the masses. We should not use
PAC members and masses as voting cattles. They should get value for their
votes. We were convinced that with Mphahlele on the helm of the PAC,we would be
insulting the masses of our people if we campaigned for him. A man cannot fail
to run a party, and expect him to run the country or deliver to the voting
public. We did not want to empower Mphahlele with resources to destroy the very
PAC we all love so dearly. History has tought us that PAC MPs and councillors
have used parliamentary resources not to build PAC, but to destroy it. PAC
parliamentarians have used parliamentary money to fight PAC in courts. PAC
needs serious overhaul to be able to deliver emancipation to the masses of our
people. Mind you, that people felt they would acquire 20% with or without us.
You cannot blame us for your leader's failure. I think to a certain extent you
contradict yourself when you attack our action for boycotting elections, for
PAC failure on the polls, having accussed us of existing only on websites. Like
it or not PAYCO is a factor in the PAC.

PAYCO_PASMA relations: I am disappointed that some amongst us are unable to out
grow this petty competition between PAYCO and PASMA. I think it is important to
bury the unnecessary hachet. The least said in this regard the better. Suffice
to say,PAYCO recognises PASMA as its sister movement under the banner of the
PAC. We are gladly prepared to engage in competition with rival youth
movements, not PASMA. We are suppose to complement each other, rather than
trying to prove who is better organised than the other. It is unfotunate that
PASMA has turned PAYCO its special project, the same is the case with PAYCO.
This counter-revolutionary behaivior must cease.

Procedures and rules: When some of us joined PAC we made it our immediate Task
to study and understand PAC constitution,Disciplinary Code,Norms and traditions
to be able to be grounded on party procedures and rules. Some of us can quote
party procedures and rules with ease without referring from the Disciplinary
code. We are quite aware that people don't refer to these procedures and rules
'cause they been flouted but as scapegoat to maintain the status quo. We reject
autocracy, and we would use every constitutional means to oust Mphahlele and we
owe no one any apology.

Charterist PAYCO: As much as I respect your right to expess yourself, but I
don't appreciate your poor analysis of political situations and simple
historical facts. The word charterist refers to those who subscribe to 1955
Freedom Charter, which was rejected by the Africanist, the pioneers of the PAC.
For your information PAYCO rejects Freedom Charter and its exponents, including
Zuma who is a Hero to some who accuse us of being charterist. We reject
multi-racialism that has been adopted by Mphahlele as a way of securing
seats(remember whites being paraded as PAC members or saviours), We believe
africans can liberate themselves. We believe whites still need to give back
what they have stolen to us. We stand for socialist order,Charterist stand for
neo-liberalism. Charterist are well looked after in the ANC. Why are we
waisting our time with a non-growing party if we are charterist, when the ANC
is blossoming. I really believe it is important to have classes of political
education to enable us to sharpen our thinking and level of debate. The issues
raised by some amongst us are an indication of how deep we are as a party in
political bankrupcy. Any person who is ideologically grounded and politically
astute would not even once refer to us or any Pan Africanist as a charterist
knowing the history of our very existence.

Political Aids virus: One thing I like about student politics is creativity. It
is very nice to here the new concept. Can you expand on it. As a student leader
myself, one thing I learnt from my predecessors, Comrades like the late Wonder
Masombuka,Clarence Hadebe and the late Ignatious Molapo was that these creative
terms are used to embarrass our rivals and to impress the mass, not to ridicule
your own comrades. I hope it can work wonders against SASCO.
PAYCO stands for a Strong PAC,Strong PASMA, Strong PALF,Strong PAWO and Strong
APLAMVA.

Politics and our families: Almost all great politicains would tell you that it
is difficult to make your family to support your political persuation. In most
cases when they are there they are not active participants. We need
revolutionaries not our wives, brothers, sisters or cousins. Politics is totally
different from churches, stokevels and football clubs. Politics is a lifetime
commitment, which requires self sacrifice. Lets not turn politics a family
affair. I agree that we should get PAC going where we live.PAC has to be seen
through us. We need to be inspired by a committed leadership that is PRO-PAC.
Branches and regions must take their cue from national Leadership. If PAC is
sick on the head, don't expect branches and regions to be sane.

PAYCO and Webside: It is so disappointing to hear a student denouncing
technology. Websites are serious communication tools that should be used to
communicate political messages. Recently Barack Obama mastered a landslide
victory by exploiting technology. Never underestimate technology. PAYCO is not
ashamed to be found on websides and to debete national issues there.

Conclusion
Thanks comrade Mavela for exercising my mind. Slowly but surely I thing the
culture of debate is returning in our movement. Rest assured son of the soil
that we remain loyal only to the PAC.

Thanks again to all comrades who are participating in these debates, especially
Aphiwe,Leeuw and Mavela. I encourage more contributions. Thanks to messages of
support from cdes Sbusiso and Kapra monamotapa.

Yours in socialist revolution
