Revolutionary Greetings!!! We really appreciate the commitment and conviction shown by MuAfrika Sello and many members of this group to PAYCO and our revolutionary party PAC. It is quite disappointing to realise that there are young Pan Africanist who still cannot understand the collossal damage that Letlapa's leadership has caused for the party over the years,hence I support the call by Cunningham Ngcukana for political classes. I have often said consistently that I like the loyalty and bravery shown by Cde Mavela but I also despise his ignorance of simple political issues. Some of the statements you make are so embarrassing and so unfortunate to be made by people who claim to be Pan Africanist. Allow me to tackle the following issues: Letlapa Mastermind The statement by cde Sello that Letlapa is the mastermind and part and parcel of the crisis in the party is so true and relevant to an extent that I cannot understand how this reality escape the thinking of some within the party especially young Pan Africanist. Mphahlela is the one who lacks vision. He is the one who expelled the NEC. He is the one who overseen two breakawys in the party. He is the one who dismantled the NEC. He suspended PAC constitution. He declared war against party component structures,eg PAYCO and APLAMVA. He promotes factionalism and disunity. He denies his political critics party membership. He failed to meet his 20% target for General Elections 2009. He has successfully succeeded to set members against members,structures against structures,hence the animosity between PAYCO and PASMA and the creation of the PACYL.The list is endless. Any person who cannot comprehend these simple facts requires urgent Psychological evaluation. Fort Hare Congress I am sure it is only Mavela who recognises the Fort Hare circus,no self respecting PAC member can pride himself/herself with that doomed gathering. Fort Hare will always be an embarasment to all who love and serve the PAC and its cause. Fort Hare was organised to create two demi-gods for PAC,Skhwatsha and Letlapa Mphahlele. That congress cemented factionalism,personality cult,disunity and everything that is anti-PAC. It is an open secret that letlapa and skhatsha forced members who attended to accept the new constitution. We also know that geniune PAC members were barred from attending the so-called congress in favour of the voting cattles. We are also conscious that PAC stalwarts,founding members and veterans who paid the highest price for the party and Azania were dismembered and insulted by nobody's like Skwatsha towards that circus. We would make sure that Fort Hare does not get any recognition as the legitimate Congress of the party. Which PAC to Suggest to? Mavela seeks to create an impression that there is a another PAC that can be approaced and reason with any suggestions put forth. We cannot make suggestions to the NEC that is non-existent. We cannot reason with the office of the Secretary General headed by Skhatsha(the troublemaker). We cannot engage the President(the Ayatola). This thinking lacks logic. Followers/sympathizers vs subscribed members Allow me to clear this myth called members and non members. a.. First and foremost we join the party voluntarily having been impressed by its objectives,policies and ideology,among many others. b.. We join the party once and become members. A person who joined PAC in 1959 is still a member provided he/she has never tendered any resignation,the same applies to a member who joined PAC yesterday. c.. Payment of annual subscriptions does not affect one's membership,but it affects the privilleges you should enjoy as a member,eg attendance of Congresses,especially closed sessions and others. d.. There is no provision in the PAC constitution that the President can denie party members to pay their annual subscriptions on the basis of differing opinions. e.. There is what is called members in good standing and members who owe their dues. f.. Can I remind comrades that PAC annul subscription fee is only R10,and the majority of these members who are declared non members spend 1000 times that or more than that on monlthly basis on PAC activities. It is therefore childish and an for any person to claim that PAC members are unable to be members in good standing for failure to fork out a mere R10. g.. Infact, almost 90% of the so called non members/supporters/sympathisers have payed for their membership cards and have been deliberately not been processed to keep them out of the system. Those who are currently members in good standing, the majority of them were given that status because they posed no threat to the Mphahlele regime. They have an opportunity to redeem themselves by working with progressive forces to save,cleanse,build and reposition the party. Stand by the Fort Hare resolution I cannot understand how you understand the PAC and its constitution. You cannot accept the platform that created anarchy and reject its outcomes. The Fort Hare Congress was never suppose to take place at the first place,as the next Congress was suppose to take place in September 2009 or December the latest.
