The PAC emerged and became a beacon of hope to the Azanian masses out of
the profound intellectual engagements among Africanists at the time.
Towering intellectual giants like Lembede, Mda, Sobukwe, Molete,
Roboroko, Mothopeng, Masemola, Pokela, Makoti and Ntantala had their
ideas refined and given revolutionary content out of those discussions
on the issues of the day particularly matters regarding lack of
leadership in and organisational ineffectiveness of the ANC.
Because they engaged with those issues that were discomforting to some
of the ANC leaders, Sobukwe and other Africanists were branded "enemy
agents" but this never dettered them from openly and frankly raising the
issues that were of concern to them and the masses in general.
It was a kind of intellectual revolution where incorrect ideas and
strategies of the ANC were put in the light of the day, analysed,
criticised when necessary and correct ideas came forth. All
organisations whether political, business or sport, are as a rule,
terrains of contestation of ideas.
We in the PAC had long upheld the principle that "WE DISAGREE IN ORDER
TO AGREE" and in dialectical terms we talk about "The Struggle and the
Unity of the Opposites" hence in all our political work Analysis and
Synthesis are essential guides to any action and foward movement of the
organisation. The party also subscribes to Democratic Centralism a
principle which allows and encourages discussion on all matters by all
members, starting with the lower structures until we find a common
ground which then becomes a mandate that the leadership at the central
level carries out not the other way round, where the leader imposes his
ideas and views without any the full participation and discussion taking
place among party members.
I wish to encourage these kinds of debates to continue in order to bring
new life to the PAC. No ideas by any one should be sparred from
criticism if members view them as incorrect or erroneous and members
should also practice self-criticism by admitting to their shortcomings,
blunders and personal weaknesses. That I believe is the sign of a true
revolutionary in action and not merely in words. Sobukwe has long
asserted that "we have done away with equivocation or clever talk" and
that "if you find in us any sign of reasonableness, broadmindedness or
clever talk, or that practical experience is the modifier of man's
views, denounce us as traitors."
What Sobukwe meant is that every party member should be ruthless in
exposing wrong ideas, erroneous decisions and betrayal in as far as
party ideology, principles, policies and programmes are concerned.
Let' us not be afraid of Sobukwe's example.

Izwelethu!

Greetings Sons and Daughter of our Motherland .

I've been reading all your articles and they are healthy because you
don't just squash people like others but rather offer some solutions.
Whether one view them as destructive or constructive, that depends on
one analysis of our basic document.

Lets fight tireless all forces of destruction and in a manner which will
resurrect PAC from its ashes and be one united and strong party.

I pause

extent. Son of the soil, the majority of us regard you as the agents
operating within. Now that they wrote you the below sms to demoralise us
further, tell them we are still intact and we shall succumb one day. I
suggest you concentrate on your union issues if any and save those

        Tumi and company

It is the standard principle that before you can associate
yourself with the PAC, YOU MUST first read and understand the 'basic
document'.The 1959 PAC's Basic Document is the bible of the PAC
worshipers. After reading this document, any member with normal
reasoning will never deliberately sabotage the programme of the PAC.
Someone who will attempt to derail the PAC programme after understanding
the Basic Document, is doing so under the programme of the imperialist
agenda. It is no secret that today Letlapa has become a lackey of
Americans, It's hard luck for you if you're still walking in the dark.

My advice to you is that you must leave revolutionaries to do
their work in salvaging the PAC. Yours is to advice Letlapa who is no
longer the PAC president, to establish his own party, then he will be
your president. Payco has the right to invite anyone in the
forthcoming congress. That displays maturity and transparency. You
cannot again accuse PAYCO on the PAC's poor perfomance during recent
elections. Letlapa tried by all means to destroy component structures
such Payco and Pawo. He refused in may occasions to meet Payco
leadership. While Letlapa was shunning Payco, we thought he had a good
plan to lead the PAC into victory. It is surprising that today you
accuse Payco of the PAC's poor performance.

Other members also tried to advise Letlapa to adopt the correct
path during his leadership but he rejected everybody who approached him
with different views from his. Any party leader who seeks to undermine
youth structure is simply shooting at his/her own foot. If however you
want to die with Letlapa, you have a right to do so. The PAC is not a
private asset. Members do have a right to criticize, praise and reject
an wrong-doing provided that will contribute in party building.

        Jabu
