Ma Afrika Poqo

Sharpville erupted about a month ago, with the service delivery riots and PAC
members were very much in the forefront and giving direction and leadership to
the marches there. In the past years there have been two seperate events, one a
drinkinking spinge and festival by the charterists ususally held at the stadium
in the township and another a commemoration by the PAC next to the dam. This
year the masses threatened to boycott and disrupt the ANC's event, to avoid
embarrassment decided to come in as government, fund the event and 'invite' all
other political parties, thereby be in the forefront. PAC members that attended
there were not in support of one Letlapa Mphahlele, he himself was defied there
when he attempted to quieten the PAC supporters who attended the event. What
took place in Sharpville was that all speakers, especialyl one Jeff Radebe,
Themba Godi were booed. Only two speakers made their address without being
disrupted, Bantu Holomisa
and Letlapa Mphahlele. After Letlapa's address the supporters walked out
leaving Letlapa embarrassed and Kgalema Mothlante, who took the stage after
Letlapa, was left to addresss the grass there. For the first time since prior
to 1994, Sharpville commemoration was just that and not a drinking spree. The
masses need direction and are gatvol maAfrika and we can only do that from
within them. Letlapa is not the PAC and lost control a long time ago even
though he and his mates always want to rush and be in the forefront whenever
things happen. We need to be careful and not alienate ourselves from the
masses, maArika, after all they are the PAC as Pokela said and not a few
individual power mongerers.

"The PAC is the Azanian masses and the Azanian masses are the PAC", -
John Nyathi Pokela

Subject: [PAYCO] Langa/Sharpeville Massacre a PAC event

Dearest comrades and fellow afrikanists,

We greately apreciate your political and generous contributions for holding a
historic, dignified and internationally recognised event despite the
desruptions by few individuals. Your organic intellectual critical thinking has
proven that anything is possible without millions to slaughter cows and rent a
crowd. Khoison X has done the thinking for those who lack the anlytical skills
to understand the political instability in the PAC, social conditions in which
the african majority still live and the economic policies of the ruling
party that exacerbate the rising unemployment, deteriorating health system,
poor education system and the deep levels of poverty and the continued service
delivery protests nationwide.

PAC members took control of the entire event and defended it from being
sold-out whether in dollars or yern or euros as comrade Mbara says. Comrades
Mayende and other veterans mediated on saturday the evening of the night vigil
anticipating the worse scenario the following morning when unveiling  the
monument but arrogance and individuals advocated for the disruption of the
vent. However, I feel sorry for those men and women who were taken for a ride
to KwaLanga to support a hidden agenda whilst their member of Parliament was
ducking and dancing with the charterists in Sharpeville.

What you saw on television was a political education for people to do the
thinking for themselves not to be misled by anyone under any circumstances. Go
back to your branches, societal association,  community involvement, write about
the PAC and think for the PAC.

Thank you very much to you all for your generous and courageous support and the
struggle continues.
