Izwe Lethu, Comrades

Compliments of new season,

I am excited to be alive in 2011. Another opportunity is presented to us
to advance the Africanist Revolution. We have been delay by *"me,me, me"
factor*. If, it was not initiated by *me* then it counter-revolutionary. If
it was not started by me then it is not important. I hope that will change.
The revolution can only succeed when we appreciate diversity in our talents.
Contrary to long held view not every PAC members is an organizer. We are not
all leaders as well. There very good organizers while others are
propagandists, communicators, strategist, tacticians administrators,
comforters, groomers, fundraisers, leaders, ideologies and so on. Everyone
must work on their strength and complimenting each other in our
revolutionary work.

I must indicate that I am disappointed with growth of numbers in Google
group (Yahoo Group successor) and PAYCO Facebook group. In 2004, I was happy
with 300 group we achieved considering internet penetration and number PAC
members with emails . There was a lot printing of email and discussion of
those email in branches. In 2011, we are still less than 400 members while
almost every member of community has email (thanks to mobile phones), which
is extremely disappointing. The Google group was targeting internal
communication. It was conscious decision from the beginning to allow
everyone to join. We put email addresses of those we normal agree with and
those that we normal disagree with. This was to put PAC into permanent
conference, increase debate and improve common understanding. It was to give
PAC member enough time to talk to each instead of talking about each other.
There is good information for members in this forum including comments I do
not like. We should have been over 10 000 group members who are Africanists.
This was to crush information feudalism in party - some structure are
controlled by individuals through giving information selectively.

PAYCO website, Facebook and Mayihlome News (WordPress blog) are
external communication tools target members of public (various
stakeholders). Facebook group was well accepted in Western Cape but rest of
country has limited penetration. Why? Inland comrades did not invite
their friends. I expected PASMA comrades to bring member whose relationship
with PAC is marginal and limited in knowing PASMA on campus. Mayihlome News
is successful in Europe and America. Highly appreciated there with over 100
new readers a week (consistently) and 200 return readers. The numbers at
home although 62% of readers do not growing to size of PAC. It show that
comrades are not reading and marketing blog and assist in give people
outside the PAC access to Africanist perspective.

PAYCO has create valuable communication infrastructure. We have not fully
exploited this infrastructure. My request is simple. Let us get more members
of PAC to join the groups. It is duty of every member of PAC. Assist PAYCO
to market Africanist perspective to your associates in various communities.
Greater numbers of conscious and consistent contributors (especial former
AZANYU leaders).
